Im Rahmen der Interkulturellen Wochen lädt das InterCultureLab zur Ausstellung
„Dafür – Dazwischen – Dahinter“ ins M26 ein. Im Mittelpunkt stehen Begegnungen zwischen Menschen, die sich im Alltag vielleicht nie kennengelernt hätten. Im Rahmen eines einjährigen Tandemprogramms kamen Kunstschaffende mit Migrationsbiografie und ihre Tandempartner*innen regelmäßig zusammen, tauschten Erfahrungen aus und entwickelten einen offenen Dialog über Identität, Sprache, Zugehörigkeit und gesellschaftliches Miteinander.
Die Ausstellung macht diese Begegnungen sichtbar: Malerei, Grafik, Fotografie, Objektkunst, Video, Film, Musik und Lyrik erzählen von gemeinsamen Wegen, überraschenden Perspektivwechseln und den vielfältigen Facetten kultureller Vielfalt. Sie zeigt, wie aus Austausch kreative Zusammenarbeit entsteht und neue Beziehungen wachsen – nicht durch fertige Antworten, sondern in den Räumen dazwischen.
Die Vernissage findet am 17. September 2026 um 18 Uhr statt. Begleitend lädt ein abwechslungsreiches Rahmenprogramm mit Künstler*innengesprächen, einem Steuerworkshop für Kunst- und Kulturschaffende, einem kubanischen Konzert, dem Netzwerkabend „Zwischen Genuss und Gedanken“ sowie zwei „Bunten Bühnenabenden“ dazu ein, die Ausstellung und ihre Themen aus unterschiedlichen Perspektiven zu erleben.

As part of Intercultural Weeks, the InterCultureLab invites you to the exhibition
“For It – In Between – Behind It” at M26. The focus is on encounters between people who might never have met in everyday life. As part of a year-long tandem program, artists with migration backgrounds and their tandem partners met regularly, exchanged experiences, and developed an open dialogue about identity, language, belonging, and social coexistence.
The exhibition brings these encounters to life: Paintings, graphic art, photography, object art, video, film, music, and poetry tell stories of shared journeys, surprising shifts in perspective, and the many facets of cultural diversity. It shows how exchange gives rise to creative collaboration and how new relationships grow—not through ready-made answers, but in the spaces in between.
The opening reception will take place on September 17, 2026, at 6 p.m. Accompanying the exhibition is a varied program of events, including artist talks, a tax workshop for artists and cultural professionals, a Cuban concert, the networking evening “Between Pleasure and Reflection,” and two “Colorful Stage Evenings,” all of which invite visitors to experience the exhibition and its themes from different perspectives.
