Die 5. Regensburger Baukulturtage werden mit einem Einblick in die Zwischenbilanz des Forschungsprojektes TRANSARA eröffnet:
Nach fünf Jahren interdisziplinärer Forschung zur Sakralraumtransformation in Deutschland wandert die Ausstellung „TransFormationsLandschaften“ der DFG-Forschungsgruppe TRANSARA nach Regensburg. Vom 10. bis 21. April 2026 sind neben ausgewählten Kirchengebäuden aus den Untersuchungsräumen Aachen und Leipzig Ergebnisse zu Typologien, baukulturellen Werten und Transformationspraktiken zu sehen.
Ziel der Baukulturtage ist es Brücken zwischen Akteur:innen bauen und das Thema Sakralraumtransformation in den Mittelpunkt eines breiteren gesellschaftlichen Diskurses zu stellen. Denn Zukunftsperspektiven für kirchliche Immobilien entstehen besonders dort, wo nicht um sie herum geplant wird – sondern durch Transparenz , Sichtbarkeit und partizipative Prozesse der Stadtentwicklung.
The 5th Regensburg Building Culture Days will open with a preview of the interim findings of the TRANSARA research project:
After five years of interdisciplinary research on the transformation of sacred spaces in Germany, the exhibition “TransFormationsLandschaften” by the DFG research group TRANSARA is coming to Regensburg. From April 10 to 22, 2026, in addition to selected church buildings from the study areas of Aachen and Leipzig, the exhibition will feature findings on typologies, architectural values, and transformation practices.
The goal of the Baukulturtage is to build bridges between stakeholders and place the topic of sacred space transformation at the center of a broader social discourse. This is because future prospects for church properties emerge particularly where planning does not take place around them—but rather through transparency, visibility, and participatory processes of urban development.
